This lesson plan contains insect and bug art, maths, science, manipulation, dramatic play, gross motor, and cooking activities. Spider web art, create a bug art, sorting fuzzy bugs, ten frame counting bugs, ant leaves manipulative, investigating bugs, insect inspection, life cycle of a butterfly, bug picnic, bug/insect relay race, and bug cooking activities are all included. These activities are play based; they allow children various opportunities to learn about bugs and insects in a very hands-on, interactive way. Eleven activity ideas are included as well as a life cycle of a butterfly poster and a ten frames print-out.
